Why do I have so much pain while laying down the day after having my wisdom teeth pulled?

I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed Thursday and I was fine when I laid down to get some sleep that night. Likewise, I felt fine all day today as well, but now that I'm trying to get some sleep and want to lay down, I am having so much pain and pressure. I have loratab but I really don't want to take it unless there is no other option. It's mostly a dull pain.
