Invisible thread danger to babies?
I am making a baby quilt and the tutor told me when I was halfway through that I should not be using invisible thread as it dangerous for babies. I 've tried searching and found a few items that say it is a choking hazard. This seems a bit unlikely to me. I guessed any danger would be that a loose thread might wrap around a limb or neck. I am handstitching with invisible thread because my stitching is very uneven and didn't look good in cotton thread. I am using small stab stitches not running stitches and have anchored and fastened off the thread very thorougly. I don't want to unpick and redo all my work if there is no real danger but obviously I don't want to endanger a baby either. Does anyone have any expert information on this?
