I think I ran a red light, would my reason be an exception to the rules?

Given the wet road conditions, and you trying to stop, but skidding into the intersection, this ticket should be able to be dismissed. Since you tried to stop but skidded into the intersection, that created a more dangerous situation than if you had proceeded through the intersection to clear out of the way. That weird noise you heard (kind of a buzzing noise) and the brake pedal vibrating was your anti-lock braking system engaging. It engaged because the wheels were skidding on the wet pavement.
